Child safety watch error
There are a number of
talented brand smartwatch in the market to ensure the safety of their children
for working parents and to monitor the movements. Parents can easily contact
the child through these watches using the Global Positioning System (GPS). But
security is not the security of these watches. The Norwegian Consumer Council
(NCC) has recently claimed that it is possible to hack these watches very
easily. Many smartwatch tests are available for the children in the market,
according to the information.
According to a report
published by the company, the smartwatch of children in the market can be
easily hacked. As a result, if a cyber-mischief seeker can monitor Smartwatch
user's activities, he will be able to establish contacts with theft. The NCC
report further states that there is no additional security system used like
data encryption in smartwatch data transfer process. So it is possible to hack
these smartwatch using very common hacking methods. NCC spokesman Alex Neill
said the safety watchdog did not have the security of these watches.
Many of the smartwatch
makers of the children have said that the work has already been started to fix
security problems. The popular smartwatch manufacturer of children has started
picking up errutous smartwats from Gator Bazaar. United Kingdom's chief
retailer John Lewis said, "No user has ever complained about security
errors, but as a precaution, some popular models of smartwatch are being lifted
from the market." In addition, 'GPS for Kids' smartwatch manufacturers
said they have solved the security problem and released the new watch on the
market. They also took Smartwatch information to new encrypted locations. The
previous user will be able to update it.
